Rip group meets Monday & Wednesday 2:45 – 3:30 pm
Tide group meets Tuesday & Thursday 3:30 – 4:30 pm or 4:30 to 5:30 pm depending on which time is more suitable for the swimmer.
The Rip group is the beginning swimmer’s group and the Tide group is the advanced swimmer’s group. Coaching staff will place swimmers in groups at the beginning of each session. There are not many opportunities for swim meets during winter swimming. If you are interested in your child having more opportunities to swim in more meets, please talk with Coach Trace about USA Swimming.

The Galax Riptide also offers a USA Swimming Team under the same banner. Coach Trace USA Swimming certified swim coach. Meets are made available to USA swimmers who are willing to travel in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Call Coach Trace for more information and USA Swimming fee structure at 276-236-3218.
